And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Go someone else! Choose someone else!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Barb, I just noticed your tagline

A vivir con miedo es como vivir a medias... A life lived in fear is a life half-lived.

I re-watched Strictly Ballroom on Sunday. I'm working on Time after Time in voice lessons, and it gave me an uncontrollable urge to see the movie.

I think I actually caught the pain before it hit. I am very spacey, however.

Is that from the migraine or the medication? At least it's almost time to go home.

Um. So I lied and actually submitted one application today. And they called me 5 minutes later, and now I have an interview.

Except they just sent me this e-mail: "please arrive 10 minutes early to complete some paperwork including an Hourly Employment Agreement, W4 tax forms and an I - 9 which you will need a valid US Passport OR a Drivers License AND Social Security Card."

Um. I've never, EVER had to provide this unless I was being hired.

I am confused. And wary.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Kristin's been talking about I-9 forms over in bitches. I personally have no idea what it is.

A little of both. And I am not walking in this heat, like I did yesterday. But then, a hot bus will be just as miserable.

I'm not happy with this. They want me in a full suit and to fill out paperwork that I shouldn't have to fill out.

“Not dead yet!”

I love Strictly Ballroom, Ouise-- I am an unabashed Baz Luhrmann fangirl and am tapping my foot impatiently for November to arrive so I can go see Australia.

And that version of Time After Time is one of the prettiest interpretations of it, I think.

~ma on the migraine, Sue. I still get them on occasion although nowhere near as bad as I used to before I had kids, oddly enough.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I-9 is the form that proves you're legal to work in the US. Usually you provide a passport OR a DL and Soc Sec card.

Shrift, that sounds an awful lot like a temp agency.

Edited cos I know the difference between your and you're.
