We could play a round of BSG, winner gets to chose what format we play?
Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
All right, I like that idea! What format will this round be?
less likely for Team Human to win in a walk
Remind me: of the 9 games y'all have played so far, how many have the humans won AT ALL?
It will be the lesser-known "rocks fall, everyone dies" scenario.
I'll put up some options, and preferential voting will then commence. In the interests of keeping things manageable, there'll be two votes.
1. We will have one of (rank in order of preference):
Cylon Leader
New Caprica
Cylon Fleet
2. Should we include Conflicted Loyalties? Y/N

I tried to inaugurate my BSG game with some newbies, but it took forever for the group to gather, so by the time I got done explaining the rules, it was too late to play the whole game. We only made it through the first jump cycle...
...during which we got THREE CYLON ATTACK CARDS. Two in a row, then a skill check, then another one. I had already run out of basestars, and we had all the Vipers out soon, and I had placed nearly all the Raiders, Heavies, and civvies on the board by the end. Starbuck managed to avoid being hit many times, and Boomer held her own, although, luckily, she never had to withstand a Raider activation when there were seven Raiders in her sector.
Starbuck kept refusing to use her Secret Destiny over and over since it was so early, and we kept getting hammered by the basestar attacks until Baltar thankfully disabled the weapons on one. Baltar and Chief were both able to help with repairs, too, so we managed to scrape by fairly well and jumped early without losing any population thanks to Boomer's SP.
We quit because it was late only to discover that Starbuck had been a Cylon.
