and Uncle Walter asked me to repeat it because he was a little deaf on one side, but I should feel in good company since he asked Jackie Kennedy to do that all the time, too.(Nobody is mixing us up, but I was crazy-flattered.) Uncle Walter knew his audience.

The Great Write Way, Act Three: Where's the gun?
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Oh, that's a great story. I would have liked to have met him; he certainly came across the airwaves as a fundamentally decent human being.
I'd say the best thing was that he was what you'd expect.
I am now at liberty to share the fact that I sold a fantasy short story to Flame Tree Fiction for their Valkyries anthology!
Congratulations! I like the sound of that!
That's great, Susan. Congratulations!
Congrats, Susan!
How would people feel about bringing the drabbles back? I nominate "Challenges/challenging" as our first new theme< if you'd like to do it .ETA: I wish "Physical challenge" is what it really felt like. There is something about the phrase that conjures up a buzzing game-show studio, surrounded, possibly, by the only tight hallways and steep stairs I'm ever gonna face. An expectant audience is waiting for me to take the prize. I wait to be judged with a gleaming smile and a light dew of sweat on my biceps.

Tep, since I'm so sure you couldn't get on with your life without knowing what "knots" made me think of, here that is. [link] I could have written more about my couple and whether they wanted to get married, ie, "tying the" but this is probably 100 words anyway, about people who just popped in my head. (If you guys give me a thread, I might take it, you know.)
