"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Clinton's recent turn to disingenuous populism has turned me off her candidacy forever.

I am so with bon bon here!

I am bouncing along today. But I got a demand from not!boss, the one who knew all 30 of us were being laid off and never bothered to say a fucking word to us, and I want to say, "Listen you inhumane bitch, fuck off."

Instead, I sent an email saying, "you've requested that we fax this, but your fax machine isn't receiving faxes."

Grrr. incompente straw haired bitch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Futurism has betrayed us

Futurism got me a TiVo I can telnet into. I'm pretty pleased.

Also, I have a serious hate-on for Drudge Report. It's so UGLY and inelegant to the eye that he may as well just write in all caps. Same effect.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Does anyone have recommendations for a good sneaker (for walking, with lots of hills and stair climbing) for high arches and underpronation?

Megan, I have high arches and underpronate badly -- I love New Balance shoes. In fact, I think if you go to the New Balance Web site and search on "supination," it should turn up a lot of shoe recommendations.

t edit I can't remember which New Balance shoe I wear, but it helps me tremendously. The wear pattern on it is almost normal, which NEVER happens when I wear any other shoe.

good sneaker

I love my Sauconys - [link] Totally comfortable (even after being on my feet for days at a con) and super cute, too.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

For all of those Doctor Who, specifically David Tennant fans, the first publicity photo of him as Hamlet. I want tickets for this, too, damnit!!

He looks oddly like Bradley Cooper to me there.
