Any math-istas in the house? I'm puzzled by high-school algebra. Are there extraneous solutions to sqrt(x+3) = sqrt(6)?
Er...not that I can tell. Though I am not a mathista. If it were (x+3)squared=6squared, then maybe, but....it's not....

Gloomcookie, I don't know if this will help your cat, but Ozzie stopped eating for a couple of days because of the anitbiotics he was on, so the vet gave me some food for anorexic cats--Hills Prescription Diet AD canned, and it really did the trick.
