And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I went to a place that had turkey loaf and two sides. I ordered it, and the lady gave me two giant slabs of turkey. I could barely eat half of it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I got sushi. And ginger snaps. And OKAY, FINE, a couple of Reese's peanut butter eggs.

I'm very happy that The Diving Bell and the Butterfly got a nomination after all, since I saw it this weekend and thought it was amazing.

I liked it a lot, but I had the most vicseral reaction to the eyelid sewing that I've ever had to any image in a film. I almost ran out of the theatre.

And how could Persepolis not be nominated for best foreign-language film?

Because they slotted it in as a animated film?

For lunch I had my own spicy lentil soup, which wasn't nearly spicy enough. Bah.

Yay, "Falling Slowly" from Once was nominated.

I'm thrilled about this, but also confused because I was sure that being on "The Swell Season" would disqualify it.

I think that Glen Hansard wrote some songs specifically for the film, but when it was delayed, he put them on the album, which was released before the movie came out. But, since it was written for the movie first, it was eligible.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Are they the kind of people who send me 3 e-mails within the span of 20 minutes asking when something will be completed? Because I've got 50+ of them all doing that to me right now.

Oh yes! They are also the kind of people who will take offense if you replied to one of the other 50 before them.

I have visceral reactions to almost all things medical and did not watch that part.

Because they slotted it in as a animated film?

It was France's official submission for foreign-language film.

Also, since it never should have been created in the first place, I choose to pretend that the "best animated film" category does not exist.
