Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh. Which one?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

the retail manager/rock climber guy. He had that midwestern farm boy look that I love so much.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Chinese Giant Salamander, the world's largest amphibia at 1.8 meters

It looks like a fucking alien. A freakish, salmon-colored alien. Also, WTF is #6?!? What the hell is that?!?

The purple frog is *cute*! I'm WAY more disturbed by that giant goddamn salamander. It doesn't even look like it has a HEAD.

I'm also somewhat put off by the frog that looks like a leaf (the Darwin frog?) on top. It shouldn't look like foliage. That just ain't right.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

But he prefers Voldemort, because Voldy never flirted with being good.

That's hilarious. And scary.

It's fantastic! My reaction was "Holy Camouflage, Batman!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The purple frog is *cute*!

It looks like a fish with genetically mutated frog limbs growing out of it.

Ok. Still and Edwards girl, but dude this is a fuck of a speech and has me in tears. [link]

I'm not sure that MLK himself wouldn't have been impressed.

The video is up. [link]

I'm watching a thing on the development of lobotomy on PBS. It is rather horrifying. (Not that lobotomy isn't. I've only known of one case where it was done, and that was in the late 80s, to a CP kid who without it would have died. It's just the zealot nature of it's origins.)

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

{{{Allyson}}}

ION, shoot me now. Just before I left for the airport to get DH, I noticed a voicemail on my cell phone. It was our property manager. They're showing the house (which, some of you may recall, is for sale) tomorrow.

The house is about as neat as you'd expect a house of not-neat people to be, when one of those people was just away for a long weekend and the other was slacking all weekend because of the temporary single parenthood thing.

I hated having to meet DH at baggage claim and announce that we had to clean the house tonight. Right now I'm on a 15-minute break before going back to work for another 45 minutes. I'm hoping on that schedule we can get the house presentable by midnight. I've already taken care of Annabel's room, the basement (which is mostly storage and didn't take much work), and half the big living area on the first floor. DH is working on the master bedroom.

Sigh. At our old place, our landlord NEVER showed up. Maybe from now on we'll keep the place cleaner so as not to be caught out like this, but still. This sucks.

Back to work...
