We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You know what'd be even cooler? A tattoo of HKVader and HKStormtrooper holding hands, with little hearts floating above them....

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, whew, Liese, that's a relief!

lesson for young children on the importance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day during a tour of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, DC, 21 January 2008.

...there's something depressing and ironic about how TERRIBLE DC's library system is, and how awful that particular building is, really. (The building was designed by a famous architect, but leaks and is not terribly useful as a library, etc)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I hate when I do that, which is more often than it should be.

I know! I don't mind when I make big complicated mistakes. But when I make stupid not-paying-attention mistakes I get all wrought up. Particularly since this report is overdue and has been a big giant problem the whole way through.

But it's okay. And it's done now, save the proofreading. So, yeah, total relief.

Now I'm going to go bake bread and have a hot bath and do anything that's totally not this report for a while.

Oh my. I just read the comments to the Vader Hello Kitty tattoo - the actual tattoo artist had this to say:

lol thanks for the compliments. Yes this was another free tattoo of the month. I only do them when I’m bored and need to do a tattoo that will make me laugh.

...

The darth vader tattoo is on a guys chest. The jesus one is on the inside of another guys arm.

To answer demeters question, why not. lol Its funny. Seriously though its all because the tattoo is free. Like this darth vader one, I don’t even think the kid knew it was hello kitty or darth vader. All he knew was it was free and he wanted a tattoo. Its really sad to think thats all the amount of thought that was put into the idea of getting the tattoo but thats the kind of clients I deal with daily; whatever is cheapest to them is good. They don’t care at all. So I figured if people aren’t going to think about what they’re getting I might as well use that to my advantage and do some fun tattoos.

Um... huh?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm just glad he's not tatooing goatse on people.

(note: this is not a request to find me a link to a photo of a goatse tattoo. I would not be at all surprised to find out somebody already has one)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

People are bananas.

Oh! The amazing give-away powers of my building lobby continue. This afternoon, I put two decorative candles and one Happy Meal toy on the floor, and they were gone within an hour. This is so ideal -- I neither have to let strangers into my apartment, nor lug anything anywhere!

Now tagless for your comfort.

MonsterHoodies!!

At what point, exactly, did hooded sweatshirts become hoodies? I missed the memo.
