I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ok. Still and Edwards girl, but dude this is a fuck of a speech and has me in tears. [link]

I'm not sure that MLK himself wouldn't have been impressed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Yep. It is awesome! I really could vote for just about any one of ours. That speech just made me a whole lot more comfortable about it though.

Trying to get Mr. Jane to understand that the internets are where the crazy lives.

I haven't seen that ad. yay TIVO. Is it playing durring the football games?

HAH! No, fear not, they are not, AFAIK playing tampon commercials during football. I was watching something I'd TiVo'd.

One problem with that ad is they say the girl can't go to school because she doesn't have "protection," which just makes me think of condoms.

That too! And honestly, like...[girly TMI] if you are short on "protection" (and possibly having to ration it, or use one for longer than recommended?) and in a place where FGM is pretty common...tampons are probably not the right answer.

In a minute I thought we were going to get an illustration of that paradox. You know the one where you keep going half the distance?

I love that there was an xpost about a geeky paradox.

Is that Obama's one today? I saw some of the transcript

I haven't clicked the link, but I read the transcript earlier, and it sounded pretty impressive even without his charisma going...

The comments on it are hysterical, too.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Here's a longer article on the creepy neighbor with the weapons cache in his apartment: [link]

In all, officers found six pipe bombs, a pistol, a rifle, a shotgun, two pellet rifles, a crossbow with arrows, silencers, ammunition, a bulletproof vest and a machete, the police said.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's going to be slow in here today with the holiday, isn't it.

Our wings are not tired.

Eeep. You always smiled at this dude, right Tom. Pissing him off might not have been a good plan.
