I end up using the plastic bags for scooping the litterbox. There is probably a better solution.
Me too. I wish I didn't need them, but I can't think of anything else that works.

Jesus Christ, Packer, WTF?
I use the plastic bags for all the trash cans in my house. I use the plastic veggie bags for litter. I think one of the two groceries near me has gone to using the degradable plastic bags. I am trying to slowly shift my shopping to that store since the one I have been going to is just so annoying on so many levels, but learning the layout of a new store in order to shop quickly is proving harder than I expected.

It's a clever plan - each penalty, the ball is half the distance to the goal, so the Giants will never reach the goal....
Right. In a minute I thought we were going to get an illustration of that paradox. You know the one where you keep going half the distance?
ETA: Ha! X-post!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE schoolhouse rock!
There's no city-wide recycling here either. I regularly claim that we live on the moon.
I bought two bags from Gelsons because I was tired of dealing with the mountain of paper bags at home. (When you're grocery shopping 2-3 times a week, the number of bags you have to store is outta control.) But I've happily learned that the reusable bags hold more than the regular shopping bags and they're easier to carry. The handles are long enough that I can carry one like a shoulder bag.
All in all, it's been a great investment.
Nice! xed fingers for the second foot!
Woo!
Wait, WTF did Madison do?
eta: Also, woo!
