Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

It's about 53 and windy here today. A great day to stay inside, watch tv and catch up on paperwork.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really don't understand how I have so much cardboard in my apartment. I just filled up another bag full of boxes, and it hasn't been that long since I did that last time!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's 27 and sunny here, too. I don't care, though, because my stain got done, so I'm all good. The SO is over at the house for hopefully his last work day. I'm working here; we might go to night church, but kinda depends on how I do.

We got really clogged up with a month and a half of work on the house, during break and after, so my year end paperwork is all due right now. And then I've got a bunch of regular housework and such that got left undone. And finally, we've got to get packing to move...we might be ready for our CoO this Friday!

So much to do. I told the SO I was declining all invitations to do anything at all for the next two weeks. But yesterday we were off teaching at the music store because the store owner went to NAMM. So we took some time to just spend together yesterday. Went out for breakfast at the local fabulous bakery. I got to see the house for the first time in a week; it looks amazing. The SO has done a fabulous job on the tile backsplash behind the woodstove. All the lighting looks just great.

Then we took the dog to the park and played in the snow. It was much fun. We threw snowballs for him to chase, which he did, and then became deeply befuddled as to what had happened to them. Then he caught one, and ate it. Hee.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

24 degrees here.

It was snowing on Thursday, and my new officemate, who's from Egypt, was so excited -- she's never seen snow before.

Our wings are not tired.

Very exciting, Liese. You've done a great job with the work in progress photos. Wow, CoO by next weekend. Shiny!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We're crossing our fingers. We've heard dates set before. But we're getting close regardless. Replacement countertop on Monday, propane appliances installed on Tuesday. Studio floor on Wednesday. Woodstove on Thursday. And that should be it.

I need to take a bunch more photos now, but we've got the floors all papered and taped up, so I kinda wanna wait until we can take final photos.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Gah. The police found pipe bombs in a man's apartment a block away from where I live: [link]

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yay Liese! Boo Tom!

When is the Democratic primary in South Carolina? The primaries are going by so fast I can't keep track!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

When is the Democratic primary in South Carolina?

Next weekend, I think?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Not to be exploding the Scola, please.

Congratulations, Liese! Does it look like a Victorian Folly in the desert?

Matilda is 100% fussaboo this morning. And she's mostly over her cold too.

Reported warnings to Emmett to avoid kissing her goopy face were to no avail and we're now into the I-told-you-so portion of the weekend where he thinks he's got a cold.

Also I'm getting a cold sore and we have to completely rearrange the bedroom before this afternoon.
