I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I need a nap.

I had a nap, and a jury summons.

No root though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I posted some of this before, but the site was down. It's still down, but the Google cache is available....

(Note - some of the posts are very offensive.)

Fundies Say The Darnedest Things

Why the King James version of the Bible is the true and original one:

The word of God has been in heaven forever. The KJV has always been there. The so called Hebrew words like Alleluia are English words. The English did not borrow them from the Hebrew but rather the Hebrew borrowed them from the English. If the KJV has always been there and is the original word of God then there is no other conclusion. The same can be said for any so called Greek words that were borrowed from the Greek or transliterated. It is a matter of what bias you approach this particular subject.

...

[in a discussion on whether the speed of light is constant (fundies like to say it isn't)]

Constants seldom are ... pi changes depending upon the strength of the gravitational field involved.

...

Apes are just creatures twisted by Satan to mock Jesus by giving EVILolition credibility. Further more they are naturally lust crazed for human women. Since they are not natural creatures they should be exterminated forthwith as the tools of evil they are.

...

Everyone knows scientists insist on using complex terminology to make it harder for True Christians to refute their claims.

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!

...

You are confusing TECHNOLOGY with SCIENCE.

Technology and science are often lumped together, but are totally separate and unrelated things.

Technology makes peoples lives easier. Technology is the product of inventive geniuses who were inspired by God. Inventions and innovations improve life.

Science causes confustion and makes things complicated. Everytime there is a new discovery the old discoveries and old wisdom are discarded! And theories get more and more complex. Science makes people confused and complicates things. Who is the author of confusion? Satan of course. The bible it the opposite of science. Biblical wisdom NEVER CHANGES, and anyone can get it. Scientific wisdom is always changing and contradicting itself, and really nobody gets it.

Please don't insult our intelligence by lumping science and technology together. They are as different at night and day.

eta: Oh, I forgot the best one:

I can sum it all up in three words: Evolution is a lie

Some great dark, Victorian-steampunk-ish post-apocalyptic art: [link]

My fave is this awesome painting inspired by Alice in Wonderland: [link]

edit to add adjective....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, watching What Not To Wear, I got all excited because they went to a store that "specializes in sizes 10-22." But they didn't show the name when went in, that I could see. So some fancy remote control work, and I paused the list in the credits. Turns out, it was Lee Lee's Valise, which I've heard of, but never been, because it's in Brooklyn! AKA, too far for me to drop in on. Bah.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ha, Jesse, I'd love to be you. I'd be smart and funny and look great in skirts.

Just got back from going to our banks (mine and his) and making all of our accounts joint and changing our address on them. Yay free new checks and getting boring shit out of the way! Then we got deelish sandwiches on the way home and ate lunch sitting at the table out in the yard. Now DH is playing guitars in the other room with an old friend and I am ensconced in the office and am going to do some writing. The life, she is good.

Aw!

I went to the library and the grocery store and some furniture window shopping. At the Salvation Army, some hotel must have redecorated, because they had zillions of matching hideous end tables and dressers and etc.

And I finally got my old TV out of my apartment! It's ridiculous how long it was sitting here, but I was hoping some bright idea would come to me. I just put it in the lobby with a really honest note ("VCR doesn't work. TV works most of the time"), and if it's still there on Monday, I'll put it in the alley with the trash.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

UGH - $75 trip to the grocery, but we were out of lots of stuff and I am buying based off a menu of recipes for the week and I did use $5 in coupons for stuff we actually use.

I have discovered a small amount of homemade peach ice cream in the freezer. It has to be from 2 summers ago, but it is still ok. I am not sharing with mac. He has justice league videos.

I too could use a nap, but I do not see that happening - instead I am going to try to get stuff done so that I can go to sleep when mac goes down around 9.

You've got an awesome backyard to sit in, Scrappy! It's a really peaceful place.

I have cleaned. I think I need to wear steeltoed boots to vacuum and mop. I'm forever running over my toes.

Dinner or dyeing next. Hrm. Floors have to dry first.
