Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

That is indeed an awesome T shirt. Although maybe still not as awesome as my new Batman shirt.

Oh! I was explaining Batman to Wallybee over lunch today (we're watching Batman Begins), and just why Batman may be able to win in a battle with Superman.

Me: "Superman's the one they call a boy scout, but Batman's the one who really embodies "Be Prepared". He has, among other things, a lot of computer power which he uses to keep and analyse information on threats."
WB: "So he has an internet connection?"
Me: "Yes, Batman's secret power is his mad Googling skills."
WB: "And he keeps all this on a laptop?"
Me: "I like that. So when he tells Gordon he'll check the Joker out, his next stop is the nearest internet cafe."
WB: "Well, you said he keeps it in the Batcase."
Me: "...No, Batcave. "
WB: "Oh. That makes more sense."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

::is dead from the cuteness::

Hmm. The Bat versus Supes. You have a point there - Superman may have all the raw power in the world, but Batman is one ruthless mofo. And indeed, he has his Mad Googling Skillz. (And Oracle. Sometimes.) I'd like to bet on the Bat, although I'm not entirely convinced.

He could, after all, be distracted by the Boy Wonder.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so sick of being sick! I was really good this week with getting enough sleep -- i.e., going to bed at 10(!), and last night, I still slept nine hours. I don't want to need this much sleep!

The cough is a whole nother topic.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thanks for the link to the tiger article -- it's the best one that I've read, with a lot of thought-provoking insight that I hope gets considered by the city government.

And congrats, Lee!

I'm commuting to Arisia this weekend, so not much updatey as dropping-in-occasionally.

And for all you non-cat-lovers, here's an awesome illustration from the Thai SPCA:

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

For the Shoe people, Bluefly is having a really good Delman shoe sale. [link]

I picked up a really cute pair of black flats for 80% off.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm nervous about this on-call jury duty thing. I just called, and I don't have to go in on Tuesday, but I have to call again Tuesday night. I hope I don't forget! (Which is why I'm posting about it now....)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another quiet Saturday morning here...

Now tagless for your comfort.

It's -11 degrees here with -28 wind chills. We are not leaving the house today.

DH braved the cold to go pick up the new remote control he's headed to the grocery right now.
