Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, you guys, where are the awesome baby stores again? I just remembered a good friend is having a baby in a couple of weeks, and there's apparently no shower, so I'd better get on the stick myself!

What do you want to get, Jesse?

And is this a go to the store or internet order?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Monday works for me! I shall email.

It's been too long since I bought Fred Steak. I need to do that.

Oh, I guess I could go to an actual store. Maybe this one: [link]

Here's my problem: I have issues with the $25 onesie. (cheapness issues) But they're so cute!

(OMG, holy crap, Sons and Daughters has $45 onesies!! Forget that!)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Jesse, the Buy Buy Baby in Chelsea (next to the Whole Foods) is the good big box baby store in NYC. (Don't bother with the Babies R'Us in Union Square - it's crap.)

For brands other than Carters and Gerber, Boing Boing in Park Slope is good, or Area Kids in Carroll Gardens. (Sorry, I only know Brooklyn! I'm sure there are overpriced yuppie baby stores in Queens and Manhattan too...) Oh wait - Metro Minis is on the Upper East Side.

Online: Oompa toys rock. As do soft things from Soft things, including the chewie veggies from Under the Nile.

Good gift? Diaper bag filled with random things like diaper cream, baby soap (I love the scent free mustela for super sensitive skin), cheek stick, a pretty wipe case etc.

If you have an urge to go to a store I love Right Start, but the closest one to you is in White Plains.

My friend's kind of a hippy parent, with the home birth and cloth diapers and whatnot, so I'm sure she'd like some organic shit or whatever.

Under the Nile! I LOVE their stuff. Seriously. And while they are more expensive than Gerber, they are cheaper than the hipster onesie places. Is she really planning to use clothe diapers? Then get her a gift certificate to an online diaper place.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There's an Area Kids by me, right around the block.

Oh, dudes, I absolutely have to get those veggies! (She's a vegetarian, too.) AWESOME.

Thanks, moms!!
