If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

A seeing-eye dog whose owner died. The dog is too old to be retrained with another owner, but needs a good home to retire to, which we hope we can be. We go meet the pup this weekend.

Fun! My ex-Minion's parents have a dog who failed out of helper dog training. His dad has now got her trained to go out and get the paper in the morning and get stuff from the fridge, etc.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The only big thing on our agenda this weekend is the World Folk Music Association's annual benefit show tomorrow night. Other than that, and waiting for the guy to set up DirectTV for us on Sunday(plus DVR, yay!), quiet weekend.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

My weekend plans, if I'm healthy enough, are go see Sweeney Todd (FINALLY), go to a birthday dinner for two friends, go to a birthday brunch for a different friend the next day, and do laundry.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Weekend:

Tonight: a community production of Assassins

Tomorrow: not sure, yet. It's DH's only day off so we might just stay in a and watch movies. Going to Ocala for dinner-and-a-movie is also a possibility.

Sunday: church (maybe) and then grading exams and enter grades into the gradebook. Probably some TV or movie watching, too. Lessons plans to get ready for the new semester that starts on Tuesday.

Monday: Rehearsal for upcoming Thespian Districts. A little grading and prep work in my classroom and then home early. Research for spring production and, maybe, do some reading. Hopefully, I'll get to go to bed early.

Tonight: a community production of Assassins

This is the play that I've always wanted to see and keep missing, damnit!! It was being done here in Chicago two summers ago, and I totally missed it then, too. Feh.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I downloaded the Sweeney Todd soundtrack just because I love Epiphany. It's like Captain Jack Sparrow singing to me about mass murder.
