Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(guess what, the R&B band does not wish to do country tunes)

C'mon! Ray Charles did it!

This weekend: finishing the edits, acknowledgments and endnotes to the book. Then I'm not merely Mostly Done but Completely Done with the book.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tonight we are going to the monthly open sing for the Folklore Society. (The theme is animals)

G's cousin is getting married this weekend. There's a rehearsal dinner tomorrow night and the wedding is Sunday night.

During the day? Catching up on shows on tape.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Weekend: NCistas (YAY!!!). Sorta-long-weekend (YAY!!!). Catching up on late schoolwork (ooops!!). Ongoing celebration of hub's birthweek (YUM!!). Finishing Rome (sob!!). Reveling in having a phone that actually rings reliably when called (about damned time!!). Breaking my exclamation point key.

brillig

That dress looks AWFUL on her, and it's mostly her body being incompatible with the design

I thought it was Joan Rivers for a moment. I've always thought SJP had an unfortunate nose, but haggard is a very good word. Plus she's got protruding veins in her arms, and her shoulders look euw.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My mama-bearness is a moot point. K-Bug got the job. She called them again and they apologized and said she just had to get her work permit and she was set.

She laughed when I told her I was ready to go tilt windmills for her, even though it would all be virtual instead of actual. I know she is a strong kid, able to stand up for herself.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm glad it worked out Suzi.

Congrats to K-Bug!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, yay! Good for K-Bug.

Does this mean I can come buy yummy treats from her?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have lost my mind, people. Our marketing manager—who's been peppering me with increasingly frequent special requests in addition to my normal workload—sent me an ad layout request at 5:00pm on a Friday. And I sent her the completed file 20 minutes later. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?
