Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For evocative titles (and speaking of Harlan Ellison), I always found his titles "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" and "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Tick-Tock Man" great titles.

Oooh, good choices.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I took a class from a guy who'd published a book of poetry called "The Stillness of the World Before Bach."

Still morning.

Drown it in coffee until it dies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm waiting for a conference call, but I'm also on vacation!! I still have some work to do, though.

Kinda random Fullmetal Alchemist question:

The VMAs were terrible. I stayed up too late mocking them, ran into my boss on the bus, and then discovered just now that we're being moved to sub-basement 3 at the end of the week.

OMGWTFunderground?!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm happy for a Monday! The SO & I are leaving Right Now to go out to the land and meet our builder and the mason there. Whoot! Scary! Neither of us slept last night, but finally for a good reason.

(Sorry about them going all Milton on you, shrift.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, shrift. I remember the character now, but I wonder if I skipped a disc, because I don't remember how he got that way.

Management apparently doesn't know who I am and have my name wrong, so I'm even more entertained.

I have a papercut that won't stop bleeding and I'm about to get a nametag for the first time even though I've been working here for almost a year.

I don't remember if they showed how he got that way. In fact, I'm pretty sure they didn't between when he showed up in episodes 6 & 7 and then disappeared for over 25 episodes.
