I'm probably going to see Iron Man tomorrow night, if, like Steph, I am over this horrific cough.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Iron Man is an interesting industry benchmark. I know a lot of movie people are watching it's numbers.
Why? It's going head to head with Grand Theft Auto. A video game. This is an absolutely major movie release which has gotten great reviews, so they're interested to see if GTA's release impacts the box office.
We're predicting it to do almost as well as Spider-Man 3. I hope we're wrong because we are so behind in hiring right now.
whoa... as of now we have 0 presold tickets for our 8:30 pre-screening of Iron Man.
I hope to see it this weekend. I had sworn off comic book movies but Robert Downey, Jr tempted me back in.

Maybe you're in a very ill-informed neighborhood?
Hey we're going to have a movie poster signing on Sunday. I can't wait to meet the star of A Plumm Summer!
Maybe you're in a very ill-informed neighborhood?
I hope everybody went to see it at the theatre two blocks away. Otherwise our total attendance of 8 doesn't bode well for Mr. Stark.
granted, that is 8 more people than came to see A Plumm Summer all day. I hope our guest star gets some traffic on Sunday!
Iron Man: stay to the end of the closing credits.
Thanks for the tip, Laga!
I mean, I'm a credits watcher in general, but at least I can convince my friends to stay too.
I probably won't be able to see it this weekend, as I'm quite busy. But my non-attendance will sadly have nothing at all to do with GTA4
