have you seen the previews for his new movie with Christina Ricci, Penelope?
No, but I'm intrigued.
I'm a big Austen fan so I'll watch about anything (even the Keira Knightly P&P). I'm loving James Cromwell as Rev. Austen and I love Julie Walters as Mrs. Austen (but she has my eternal love as Mrs. Weasley).
to be honest, the movie looks a bit ridiculous, but James always pulls off leading man exceptionally well.
here's the trailer. [link]
I have this McAvoy picture as my desktop at work: [link]
Good actor and oh so pretty.
And a seemingly all around decent guy. Love everything about him.
yeah, there was an interview with he and Keira and he was saying how he's not on the same level as she is because people don't cross streets to have their picture taken with him or to get autographs. i'm thinking he just hasn't been in the right places. i would cross a lot of streets to meet him.
I just watched
The Lookout.
Good stuff. Joseph Gordon-Levitt works well as a noir hero (cf. Brick).
Maybe it's all the wine I drank (thanks Kristin!) but I am totally enjoying
Code of Silence.
It's Chuck Norris, 1985, filmed in Chicago and it is such the 80s picture
and
such the Chicago picture. It's like
Ferris Bueller
with big hairy balls. Total trip seeing young John Mahoney, and Dennis Farina too.
You do know that Chuck Norris could kill everyone in Chicago with a stare, don't you?
Total trip seeing young John Mahoney
Heh, last night I watched 1408 (with John Cusack) at a friends, which was nicely trippy/creepy, and Cusack gets to cut loose with the crazy, and after it was over, we switched back to cable and what should be on but SAY ANYTHING (also with a young John Mahoney). My friend and I both kind of boggled for a good half minute. Definitely the first time I've found the appearence of Lloyd Dobler on my TV creepy (if you've seen 1408, you might understand why it could be cree-py).
Last night (before I watched
Code of Silence
) I was stuck on a crossword puzzle clue that is just too obvious this morning...
1a) Actor who supposedly, "destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise"
