what other schlocky artist's life will be next?
Me, I'm hoping for the torments and nameless horrors that inspired the creator of Precious Moments.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Yes, that would be perfect.
Then - you could do a Schlock!Artist Trilogy event.
Directors giggling about putting actors through physical discomfort isn't anything unusual, and most everyone means and takes it in good fun (though there's certainly exceptions)
The exceptions include William Friedkin, who comes across as the biggest asshole on the planet, and one not overly concerned with the safety of his actors, either. I think he suffers, generally, from a lack of thinking things through, which looks on screen like spontaneity but is actually something more akin to the actors and crew saving him from his own foolishness. On To Live and Die in L.A. he nearly got William Petersen arrested, and the propmaster who made the fake money that was part of the plot did get arrested briefly, by the Treasury Department, because the fake money didn't look fake enough.

Anyone been to the Precious Moments Museum & Chapel? I had never seen so many people wearing pastel in my life. I had long hair in a ponytail and a conservative brown leather jacket - they could immediately tell I was not one of the pod people....
There's already a movie about Thomas Kinkade coming out - - what other schlocky artist's life will be next?
Jack Chick: The Movie!
See it or BURN IN HELL!!
Jack Chick: The Movie!
Jack Chick should have to fight Godzilla or something....
Anyone been to the Precious Moments Museum & Chapel?
I've only been outside, and that was kinda enough. I kept driving.
From way back but because it's in my top five and I watched it last night.
I don't know how you can ask Casablanca to be more gay when it's already got Renault saying things like "She was asking about you earlier, Rick, in a way that made me extremely jealous."
What about. "Well, if I were a woman, and I weren't around, I should fall in love with Rick."
Just got back from Cloverfield.
Huh.
Anyone been to the Precious Moments Museum & Chapel?
Yes.
::shudder::
My grandfather was a fan, of sorts. He was indifferent to the figures, but fascinated by the fancy light displays and gadgetry.
