Yeah, the other thought I had, but didn't include in that previous post is that the Phelps' seem to have glossed over the fact that Leviticus isn't really speaking to them as Christians (what with the whole Jesus thing), and even modern Jews have decided there's wiggle room and space for interpretation of Leviticus through modern eyes.

Well, they probably understand *their* Bible, since they're probably using one of the heavily abridged, simplistically translated ones. That's mostly a comic book.

Ooooh! This summer is already shaping up to be pretty busy, but if I can swing it, I will. 'Cuz yeah.
(I'm ostensibly scheduled to come out to Western Michigan in the first week of August for a big family thing to celebrate my grandparent's 60th anniversary. On top of that, there's a strong desire to come just a little early and hang out with you guys and Tom and Sam while they're there. The only catch is that this year is already shaping up to keep me busy with work from July through the end of the year, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make any of that happen, but I'm sure going to try.)
