Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

not totally sure you'd want to, to be perfectly honest. it's pretty hard to watch.

that's what I'm thinking, too, tiggy.

What about The Wind that Shakes the Barley?

hee, Laga, I think the Life fans have put "a very long wait" onto anything Damian Lewis related on Netflix. (I believe McAvoy's McBeth is on the same disc with Much Ado About Nothing).

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Shameless is a lot of fun for McAvoy fans.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Shameless is a lot of fun for McAvoy fans

oh yes it is. So far I can only get season one on DVD, though.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Matt, that makes sense too!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Matt has the right idea. Here is a nice post about what probably happened to Marlena.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have to admit that either way, I did not understand the point of whatever happened to her. That whole thing could have been omitted and I would have been just fine.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have to admit that either way, I did not understand the point of whatever happened to her.

There is this too. Why twist your plot into painfully contrived knots so that the two main characters can have narrative symmetry if your secondary ones are just going to be killed off gratuitously? It's just sloppy writing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

What's the word on Good Luck Chuck? Is Dane Cook annoying? Is it worth it to watch Jessica Alba take on slapstick? We rented it tonight.
