Folks – CLOVERFIELD is worth the obsession, worth the months I’ve had to put up with fans wondering what the hell it was – worth having to deal with reporters asking me what it was – and I didn’t know either. This is a towering movie. A complete reinvention of the disaster movie, the giant monster movie and even the love story. I absolutely love this film and the only thought I had when it was over was how I wanted to watch it 5 more times today.

I certainly hope Cloverfield lives up to the hype. But I'm concerned about the reviewer's pick of best part of the movie being the same frizzy-headed stoner dude whose appearances in the latest commercials have me fervently hoping he becomes monster chow ASAP.

Finally saw Eastern Promises and wow, was that good, my only complaint is that it ended.
Right now, to save myself from watching the football game downstairs, I popped in Xanadu which is just as awesome as I remembered it (except for forgetting about the cartoon musical sequence, which made me cringe at first and then it ended up being quite good) and now I'm pissed that the ONJ/GK number was not on the soundtrack. Bastards.

I cringed my way through Logan's Run, thankful that Dennis was asleep most of the time. This morning it was in its little sleeve waiting to go back to Netflix so I'm guessing he preferred his nap to the actual film.

I just finished Shoot 'Em Up. wow, is that ever a movie that lived up to its name! my dad wants to rewatch it to see how many people are killed. i told him i think it's an impossible task.
