I have long advocated that typing an exclamation point should give people a shock, so they only use one when they really need one. Ideally, the more exclamation points you typed at one time, the stronger the shock would get.

I'm a little irritated with management at the moment.
We're all coming in on Saturday to do a thing. Appointments that usually take an hour are going to take half, because everything was supposedly streamlined. The rules were pretty clearly laid out. Take care of the first two requirements by the 7th and turn in all their stuff by today at 4.
First, they decided that the first two requirements could be handled early morning Saturday.
Now that people haven't turned stuff in, they have until Thursday. Also, even if they don't, if they will still be seen on Saturday, but not so much streamlined.
So guess who all is working a regular day on a Saturday even though it was supposed to be a special, one time, get these people who are ready out of the way day?
The theory behind breaking all the rules is that "this is the first time we've done this, so we need to be accommodating." But, management dudes? I hate to burst your bubble, but now that you've basically let everyone involved know that they can just send people without doing what we asked- guess what's going to happen next time you say, "No really, we need this completed the week before." Go on guess.
I already had one AE tell me before the rules went all bendy that they didn't really apply to him.
So fucking frustrated.

I managed to get a somewhat stupid but OK birthday present for my one grandmother. I may yet come up with a better idea, but at least I've got something.
It's all cloudy here, but not storming. And apparently, not going to. Bah!
Oh, speaking of Bah, I got an email today from Booz Allen Hamilton, and I totally want to work there for the bah.com email address.
