WELCOME HOME, NOAH!!
Happy birthday, Sarameg!
Parenting has not been good to me this morning. Between the hours of 5 and 6 am, I was (a) drooled on, (b) peed on, (c) pooped on (while changing diaper & clothing from (b)), and finally (d) vomited on. Um. At least there was no blood?
Congrats, Noah!
On the way home from the hospital with Owen, DH kept saying, "I can't believe they just let us walk out of there with a freakin' baby! What are they thinking?"
I kept looking over my shoulder when we took Emeline home. Waiting for some officious little person to look over their glasses at me and say "I'm afraid you have yet to pass the required tests. Step into this room."
Later of course there would be the "Mr. Conat, I'm afraid your test results do not indicate..."
Think of it as D marking his territory.
"MY MOMMY! MY MILK! ALL OTHERS GO 'WAY!"
At least DH was here to take over baby wrangling and change the sheets so I could shower and go back to bed. (He woke me up only after D became inconsolably depressed that male nipples really are just for show after unsuccessfully attempting to nurse from Daddy's chest. Which probably would have been a lot funnier had it not involved a screaming baby at the end.)
Good news about Noah being home.
Weird day here in Boston. It's supposed to get up into the 90s (and be massively humid in the process) but it's currently in the 60s and unbelievably foggy (like white-out foggy). Did greater Boston move to the SF bay area while I was asleep?

Didn't you get the memo?
Didn't you get the memo?
Nope but I don't care as long as I don't get the bill.
Yay for Noah! I loved his going home pictures. For some reason, it strikes me as funny that he and Kat got a wheelchair ride out of there.
Happy so-low-key-it's-belated birthday, sarameg.
Also, guess who's sitting on the couch right next to me? NOAH! I tell you what!
Awesome. Welcome home, Noah! Now use your wonder twin powers to get little Miss Gracie home. You need someone on whom you can lay blame. I'm an only child. I know whereof I speak.
I can't believe the hospital just let us take out this fully formed little human in whom they have spent 15 weeks and over $2 million
Isn't that something? All babies are priceless, but you have a pretty good idea of your babies' rock bottom, don't you, Kat. (And worth every penny. I'm getting all allergic here. I'm so glad he's home.) When he's being a totally obnoxious adolescent, please to rub all this in his little meatball face.

I wonder how universal this is? I remember thinking how crazy it was to leave a totally helpless human to two people who, no matter how well meaning, didn't have a blessed clue.
I have been enjoying my Eureka DVDs the past couple of days. But I don't think I'll manage a full marathon before tomorrow night. Ah, well. I'll at least watch the S1 finale.
I'm so excited it's Eureka day. I haven't caught up with all the S1 episodes either, Jen. I've seen more than I've missed (including the finale, which was the first episode I watched), but I've never seen the pilot. I was going to try to catch up before tonight, but then I went and fell in love with Supernatural, and things happened to me, and I'm not (just) talking about lights flickering, writing appearing on the steamy bathroom mirror (into which I decidedly DID NOT say "Bl**dy M*ry," ) and one of the preset buttons on my car radio not working right anymore (it tunes in the quite local, and strong signal for about 15 seconds, and then it goes away). Nope. Not talking about any of that. Supernatural just ate my brain, and all my free time. Scott and I finally got to see "In My Time of Dying," last night, and ooof.
Still, new Eureka tonight. YAY!
