Are you the one who keeps jacking up the stats on my knitting blog?
I was just there a few minutes ago....

Hee! Not the readership I was going for, but I'll take it!
To be fair, I was working for a company that did work for Kellogg's, so it isn't as surreal as all that. But it was kind of randomly hilarious.
Sweetie, you have every right in the world to be thrilled, proud, and anything else. You've accomplished something that not everyone can - just writing the book is an accomplishment; getting it published means someone else thought it was worth their time and effort. The fact that you've got the internets heating up with the buzz means you've produced something that speaks to us - all the invisible people on the board plus the lurkers. Yay for you!

What, you think I'm not a knitter?
OK, I'm not, but still....
I have to admit that I've done the "but there was no bill!" thing.
There wasn't.
Also I'm a flake.
But mostly there wasn't.
These days I'm pathetic enough that I can only hold 1 recurring bill that's not sent through my bank. Water and Power wins, which means that cable keeps almost falling through the cracks. Hopefully my upcoming account number change will make it compatible with the autopay stuff.
Because my student mailroom was staffed by the particularly inept students doing work study, I ended up being hyperaware over when to expect bills (so I could go yell at them and make them sort the buckets of weekold mail and put them in the PO boxes.) I do wonder how many people's credit got fucked up by those jerks.
We're having The FLOOD right now with sheets of rain, lots of wind, thunder, lightning and hail.
Why does it always start monsooning five minutes before I'm supposed to leave the office?
And the temperature has dropped to 68!
