Whoo! Thanks, Nora. I knew someone would be evangelical about...well, one of us usually is about anything, right?
Hmm. Just heard the "You've got mail!" AOL announcement pipe up a few cubes over. Could you be a little more obvious about goofing off at work?
Finally found out what the migraine doc wants to do to me. DHE Infusion. Still googling for more details, but while doing so came across a mention of at least one person that gets anxiety attacks from the anti-nauseants that last for days.
You have no idea how much less crazy that makes me feel. Because my sense of lack of proportion after most of my ER visits is massive. And I was trying to work out coping mechanisms based on it all being in my head. Thinky-head, not brain-chemical-head.
If it's chemical, it's so much easier to tell people to ignore me for 24-36 hours.
::back to googling, but all subtle-like::
I like Questionable Content a lot. It was fun when I found it, and I could read through a whole bunch of backstory in one night.
I hate the pseudo-anime drawing style. It's like he's trying to draw anime, but can't pull it off. Plus he has stupid-ass facial expressions.
That's the way he's drawn for decades, so I don't think it's a case of him trying to do an anime thing. That's just the way Phil draws.
if you go here and in the "Keyword" field type "traffic", you'll get a list of our papers on the subject (many of them without me, as I only joined this research in a later stage).
Nilly, I didn't know that you worked with those people. Your lab presented a paper at the International Conference on Network Science held at my university last year. I have it in my notes: Transport in weighted networks: superhighways and roads.
Actually, now that I look at it, people working with Havlin presented more papers than any other group. I wonder if you were an author on one of them?
Hey, ita, I had a run of coffee travel mug tragic incidents and finally got this OXO mug which never spills ever ever.
Just make sure you close it as tightly as possible, because otherwise...
yeah, a tight seal is key. Sometimes I can't open it at all after Tom fills it up and closes it for me.
Nope. But I don't remember where we went to brunch!
me either. I remember the name being bounced around some though.
Completely unrelatedly, Nora, I have no beer, and I have to be at work all day, with no Adirondack chairs in sight. Why?
DHE Infusion
ita, have you been given migraine drugs intravenously before? Or would this be the first time for that delivery method?
I wish I could tell you, Lee, but I appear to be in a similar predicament myself. However, I will have access to beer 3 hours earlier than you at the end of the day.
