Suzi!

How are you doing? I mean, other than the "Beep Me" stuff, which I'm sorry for not working.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's not even a serif issue

The idea that there could be a serif issue, and then something even lamer than that is doing a bit of boggling to my mind.

Maybe they just want to check (TSG mentioned some band did this with their rider) that you read that far in the rules?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

paperdol, The Boy and I were in B&N yesterday, and I found your book, which was already turned so that the whole cover faced out (versus just the spine), and I squeed and gleebled and clapped my hands, and then I cornered a cute geeky-looking B&N employee and said, "If I'm allowed to make recommendations to you guys, READ THIS BOOK!" etc.

It turns out that she is somewhat involved in Trek fandom, so I didn't have to do much explaining to her, other than IT'S AWESOME READ IT AND PIMP IT TO ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Nilly - I am in baseball heaven right now. Lots of fun stuff happening with the All-Star events in San Francsico. Mom is in better health right now, so while that was a missed opportunity, she is handling it well.

I'm working for an hour and fifteen minutes more today - then off to more baseball FanFest stuff.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Nilly!

I keep wondering if I'm famous yet.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Ugh. I am supposed to go to the beach for a girl's weekend/birthday celebration combo, and getting there is going to be inconvenient and expensive.

Right now I am trying to decide if I should use a few precious hours of vacation time in order to get on the highway before rush hour on Friday, or whether I should cancel, save a lot of money, and be the most horrible sister in the known universe.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Girl Genius

I keep trying to read this, but I get put off by the artwork. I'm shallow that way.

What's the name/URL of the one where the main guy's got a little pesky robot and they work at/patronise a cafe, and then there's the one girl that's (or was) too damaged to date our dashing lead...

Questionable content. It look me a real long time to remember its name, too.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Suzi/Nilly - I saw something on the news last night that they now have baseball in Israel. See what the madness is about! incomprehensible though it may be.

And shrift, whatever you decide, I think I've got the worst sister in the known universe tied up. Just ask my sister.

I am in baseball heaven right now

Yay!

One day I'm going to watch a baseball game with somebody who understands the rules. I hope.

[Edit: Toddson! Somebody here linked to it a few months ago, too. But it's still in very baby stages, very few places, and doesn't really catch on. We're still very much a soccer/basketball sort of team games place.]

she is handling it well.

This is good to read.

I keep wondering if I'm famous yet.

In this little across-the-ocean place, with just the one e-mail (because I couldn't wait, even if the book can't be bought from here for another three weeks), I have one friend who wants me to translate some of your essays, another I'm meeting tomorrow who called and specifically asked me to bring the book with me so that she'd be able to see it, 4 or 5 people in line to read it after me (meaning, when I'm willing to part with it for more than three minutes straight), and 3 or 4 people who may end up in the USA in the next few months who already added it to their shopping list.

You keep her tied up? She's that bad?
