I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

I have recently purchased Gouda cheese in my fridge. clearly I must go eat it now, if only to save myself in the future.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, put the a/c in. I mean, it's Sunday — what better day to pray that it doesn't fall out?

Heh. I did go to Home Depot and bought a bracket, but I got overwhelmed by all of the electric drill options, and now I'm not sure I'll actually be able to install the damn thing. I'll work it out, because god knows I want to sleep in A/C tonight!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I emailed the president of my co-op board and asked her what the rules were on installing air-conditioners, but until she gets back to me we've just got it set in the window. Looking at some of the other A/Cs in the building, it doesn't look like anyone has them *installed* as such, so I think we'll be fine. (And if/when she tells me differently, we'll take it out and put it back in properly. Until then, I think she'll understand that a week of 90+ degree weather and a newborn baby call for drastic measures!)

I've just been paranoid recently, not sure why. I've never installed the air conditioner before! And I already opened the stupid bracket thing, so I'll give it a shot.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Alas, like Doo Dads, they are no longer made. I suspect the Keebler elves put a curse on Nabisco execs to make them stop production on their tastiest snacks.

Nonsense, they were just superceded by the best snack cracker evah! That would be Better Cheddars.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I went to Barnes and Noble in Georgetown and got a copy of Vampire People. Read the first few chapters, and squeeing a lot. (And having a bit of a "Eeek! My idiotic typo was preserved for eternity!" in the Random Acts of Paypal chapter.) (I never think anyone else's typos are stupid. My own, though, are clearly proof that I am not yet fit to interact via text.)

Our wings are not tired.

I never thing anyone else's typos are stupid.

Really, it is with love that I quote this.

Today I also discovered Trader Joe's soy yogurt, which is awesome. And the strawberry one isn't that freaky bright pink that strawberry yogurt so often is.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I really need to put all of these posts in a scrapbook.

Need to buy a new printer.
