Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Now, if you start giggling and jumping up and down and screeching "that's my book! that's my book!" you'd be verging toward something a little more sociall unacceptable... but still not pathetic.

This strikes me as a completely reasonable reaction.

I ordered it on Amazon early, but I may drive to B&N tomorrow and at least rearrange the book displays.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. I just read the opening essay, and it's pure Allyson. She cuts with a sharp knife, and she cuts herself just as much as she cuts everything else.

And it kinda made me sniffle. Teensy bit.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Some people use their pinkies.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Because we are all proud to bursting for you, Paperdol.

This just needed to be repeated. Maybe over and over and over.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Exactly this. I got to glance at a copy and now must head to Powell's tomorrow for my very own.

So what did I do the past 2 hours while shoveling fajita chicken chowder, strawberry shortcake into my face and smoking too much, hrm?

Only fair you should be teary. Between revisiting ita's and Nilly's stories in your words (and, um, the others, but those particularly required kleenex,) it's all your fault my face will be a puffy mess tomorrow. Oh and the Catalina one too, but that's just me being self-centered.

Somewhere in the Pikesville store are copies on a table, I am assured. However, since they are crazed monkeys and I had to be home to shoot the cat, I couldn't hit every table. Luckily there was one misfiled (um, in the Rs) in the humor section. Oh & when you come here, if you want to hit places in addition to Atomic, they showed interest at that B&N and my ex-coworker's store way up the road.

I'm composing my pimping and outing email to friends now.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I know what my weekend plans are: go get the book!

Right now I am lying on the couch filled with ennui and panic.

Alrighty. Sent the announcement email off to a couple krav instructors. One's a TV producer, and the other one is in charge of MTV's online community.

Now to pimp to a couple friends and some family.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We got back about an hour or so ago from B&N with the book. I have read (or reread) most of it already. SO wonderfuly written, Dol! I am ordering a copy for my mom, so she can know about all my invisible friends. Also, I got thanked AND mentioned in it, so I am feeling way incredibly cool right now. And very lucky to know such a talented writer.
