I can get to CNN but not flickr.
ugh I can too. And I saw headlines and pictures for two HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE stories that I can never unsee. I'm seriously sick about it now...(and neither story was the gunman in Las Vegas). UGH!

Re: Vampire people-- I called my local Borders and they are not getting it until next month! Does anyone know if this is true (the easy Barnes and Noble for me to get to is the medical center bookstore, and they can order it for me, but I thought I might be able to get it sooner!
Tourist tries to take gun into Sears Tower
July 6, 2007 - A tourist from Tennessee accused of trying to bring a loaded gun into the Sears Tower will appear in court.
Stephanie Warren, 56, was going through a metal detector Thursday when she was stopped by security. Officers say the woman had a 38-caliber revolver in her purse.
Warren has a Tennessee permit to carry a concealed weapon. However, concealed weapons are not allowed in Illinois. Police said Warren was not aware carrying a concealed weapon is illegal in Illinois.
Warren has been charged with the unlawful use of a weapon-- which is a misdemeanor.
Sophia, IIRC, the real release date is August 1, but B&N got the exclusive early dealie.
Aha-- that explains it. I'll check at the med center bookstore, then, and see if they can order it for me. Thanks!
Oh, man. I didn't realize The Police were playing Wrigley yesterday and today. I'll not be taking the red line home, then.
Update: Yahoo is back!
How much strength should a pinky toe have?
Well, it shouldn't roll sideways when you stand on your tiptoes. At least, that's what my other pinky toes says.
How weird, I received an email asking me to send a birthday card to a Ukranian musician/composer living in London. The email doesn't ask for money or account numbers or anything, it just gives the guy's snail adress and some info.
I don't want to label it as spam, because it's weirdly charming.
New York, New York
I've always thought that was the skeeviest hotel in Vegas. It feels very wrong in there.
