ita, what happened with the plan to admit you?
I didn't pre-order because I want the immediate satisfaction of walking into a book store and walking out with it in my hands.
Me, too. I'm *so* hitting B&N this weekend.
Professional opinions--broken or just sprained?
Broken.
Cashmere, ten years ago, I broke my ring and middle toes on one foot (and possibly the index toe, I disremember). Anyhow, I went to my doc, and he said, "Yep. Probably broken. Wear hard shoes."
I asked about Xrays, and he said there wasn't much to do, even if they were broken. I asked about taping, and he said it tends to cause more problems than it fixes. I think it's broken. I think you're also already doing pretty much everything than can be done for it. Keep an eye on it. If it gets worse for some reason, then call your doc or go to prompt care or the ER, but for now, I think you're set.
I hope you feel better, soon. I know it hurts like hell. My sympathies to your poor little pinky toe. Try not to walk funny and further screw up your back.
I spent some time with wee Grace, tonight, who was REALLY MAD. She de-intubated herself today, because she's all "ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT" and then they stuck it back in. She was kicking and punching and REALLY MAD.
Go Grace! You stay mad, sweetness. You heard about Noah getting discharged, didn't you? That said, channel the anger such that it is actually time for the doctors to de-intubate you. This is not a DIY project.
I think it was because the nurse kept calling her "he" while giving her a bath. She was all, "BITCH, YOU ARE WASHING MY VAGINA RIGHT NOW, DID YOU NOT TAKE A BASIC ANATOMY CLASS AT YOUR BOZO NURSING SCHOOL?"
And I was all, RIGHT ON, GRACE.
Yeah.
