But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

When I had a few bad asthma years, I could walk into ER, wheezing like hell and they would just say "Hi, Suzi - go ahead back to the blue chair (for vitals)". Not good. I mean, good service - but still - not good.

Amazon says no book until August. Sad now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I didn't pre-order because I want the immediate satisfaction of walking into a book store and walking out with it in my hands.

Professional opinions--broken or just sprained?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so happy that Noah's coming home soon and Allyson's book is coming out soon. Wheee! I better go order my copy.

ita, I'd recommend against a nervous breakdown. Too draining.

The status is NOT quo.

libkitty, I canceled my Amazon pre-order for that reason. I have a feeling that they underestimated interest and didn't pre-order enough themselves. Instead, the day it shows up at Borders, Ima buy it.

I'll try local. I didn't pre-order because I hate pre-ordering, since Amazon has screwed me on every pre-order I've tried. I planned to order it as soon as it becomes available, but it would be kind of fun to try at Hearthside.

Cash, as long as it doesn't seem to be out of shape like it needs to be set, then broken/sprained doesn't really matter--just tape it to the next nearest one for a week or two, til it feels better. That's what I've done for all but my worst broken toe (that one was sideways, and I had to go to the ER. Where no one knew my name. But I was OK with that)

JenP - Jul 05, 2007 7:24:26 pm PDT #6575 of 10001

I pre-ordered because... it was there. But I'm totally going to a bookstore to buy one as soon as it's out. My amazon order says September, too.

My opinion is: Ouch. Looks kinda breaky, but sprained is less worse and probably heals faster, so let's say that. I hope that happens very quickly. I did a similar thing to mine several years ago. I have much sympathy for your pain.

Ima buddy tape it to the next toe (when I can find our roll of sports tape). ER visit is a $150 copay and even urgent care is $75--I'm not paying that for someone to tape it up, when I can do it myself.

It hurts and looks awful but I think the swelling has peaked. I'll ice it and take a pain killer.
