Compounding means to mix them on-hand for the patient. Compounded prescriptions are made-to-order. One of Noah's prescriptions, after insurance is $115, because it's being hand mixed to the right concentrations for him and in liquid form.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Aha. Let me hope I never have to be compounded for.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I choose...I choose unravelled. I'm pretty sure that's how nervously I am breaking down.

That sounds about right. I mean, relative to my friend who lost everything at once (apartment, job, boyfriend) and broke down. It was sudden, breaking. I'm sorry.

Woah.

What is even happening?

Grace had another biopsy today. My own issues held up her getting the biopsy for 4 days, which means I need to check my ego out of the picture and be more at ease about this.
I hope the news from it is good. I don't know about ego, but I know you wanted to know why it was medically advisable before you let them perform surgery on your daughter, and I know that's part of the job.

Tomorrow is another big day: pick up the $200+ in prescriptions that are being hand-compounded for Noah, hear back from the home health people about the monitor and the oxygen tanks, meeting with the occupational therapist for a developmental assessment of Noah, and something else, but I can't remember what that is.

Oh my word. Yeah. Unglued is good.

(ohmigod, Noah's going home soon! Grace has got to buck up so he doesn't start to think he owns the place!)

Yeah (listen to ita, Grace).

I choose...I choose unravelled. I'm pretty sure that's how nervously I am breaking down.

I hope you ravel, soon.

I wish, ita, that instead of unravelling, we could find a way to crochet you back up.

Would anyone be surprised my knowlege of compounding pharmacies comes from....cats? I thought not.

passes out the knitting needles I don't know how to use and peels fingers off the spilled superglue bottle to pass around.

eta: hah. posted that before I saw Kat's wish.

(ohmigod, Noah's going home soon! Grace has got to buck up so he doesn't start to think he owns the place!)

Pretty much that. Snuggles anytime you want! No minders! Diapers full time!

I hope Grace gets that indulgence very soon.

Hrm, I think I'll spend this weekend getting them a coulda-been-OUR-birthday gift. That'll be my gift to me.

When you need me mostest, let me know.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Holy butt! I got a box of author's copies!

woohoo! that's a fun thing, Allyson!

Random: While Noah and Grace don't share Sara's birthday (and oh how I wish they did) they do share a birthday with Nathan Fillion.

My geekiness is done.

Also, good lord, Helen Mirren is two years younger than Mick Jagger.

Hey, they were thinking about ejecting during MY birthday.
