Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

They just said on the radio that the National Mall was evacuated because of the storm. Everyone who was there for the fireworks has had to either go into the museums or leave the area entirely. (In addition to the thunder and lightning, there's also a tornado warning.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Eep. I thought it was bad that the CTA trains out of the Loop all lost power for an hour immediately following last night's fireworks.

My brother wants me to come into the city to hang. Umm, no. I was hesitant before this, but now, HELL no.

Yeah, it went from warning to watch over in Howard County.

Now, I feel bad for the crowds, cause I've been on the Mall for the 4th, and getting out of there takes forever.

But I like storms.

The fireworks downtown were supposed to start about now. Given Nature is putting on her own show....I'm guessing it's been cancelled.

The broadcast tower on Television Hill must be taking hits. Stations keep losing signal, pausing or going black in line with the flashes in the sky in that direction.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm watching fireworks on TV, and hearing them out the window. Seeing them in person often makes me nearly pass out, and ridiculously, I'm feeling it a little even watching on TV! I think I hyperventilate or something.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm in a pub watching the fireworks with SA. I could go outside and watch them, they're two blocks away!

I watched the fireworks from my roof. Shared some chocolate cupcakes with my neighbors, too, since I found out that the friend I made them for is sick and won't be in school the next few days.
