I find a lot more itching and possibility of bumps from shaving than from waxing!!
Me too.

Ooh, I love it when my newsguy boyfriend gets all angry and passionate. Oh, and hate it, too, because something really pissed me off, but I often feel like I "need a cigarette" on Special Comment night.
Allyson's Mom has a way with words. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
My skin reacts horribly during waxing - the first time I did the bikini, I thought the guy doing it was going to have a panic attack. Huge, bright red bumps. The thing is, it fades after a couple of hours, and it's not painful - any more than that kind of thing is anyway, I mean. Now I know to warn them - over and over - that no, it's really okay.
I'm, like, 5. I have a dentist appt at 2:30 tomorrow. This wil be worse than the last, which was a looksee. This is a cleaning and possibly minor fillings (as opposed to the me-fucked need of a couple root canals and crowns that may drag out a year if I want to be all financially minded and use the health-care tax shelter thingie, but out of my own expediency, I might take the financial hit to just not be a stupidass screwup any longer. Um, hi, issues.) but I'm being all chickenshit. I'll go, cause the cheapass in me won't take the hit of a $50 cancellation fee because I'm a chickenshit. I DON'T WANNA.
Sarameg, I am feeling the exactly same way. I'm going in Friday and I know it's gonna be very not fun. They divided up the work they had to do on me last year because there was a bunch of it. Well, after they finished the right side of my mouth, I, um, never went back. So I am almost a year late on work that was supposed to be really important.
I need to get the crown on my root canal in a couple of weeks. The dentist wants to start taking out my old fillings and putting in different ones.
No. Way. In. Hell. I'll let him dig in where it hurts and it needs new work. If it don't hurt, he ain't drilling.
I've rescheduled the last two dentist appointments I had. The last one, the morning of. Because I was tired.
I still need to reschedule and get my butt in there.
Oh, honey, I feel for you. This is a decade's worth of stupidity. The funny thing is? If it were robots doing the work, no people involved? I'd totally have been reasonable earlier. It's the humans that make me stupid. My head is rdiculous.
I'll hold your hand if you hold mine!
Connie, my dentist replaced three fillings of mine back in February (for $250 after the insurance payed for their portion), but it really didn't hurt at all, at least not more than getting the original fillings did. They even have this numbing gel they rub on your gums before sticking the needle of Novacaine in, so you don't feel anything at all! I was very happy with that development.
