I couldn't believe it the first twenty times you told us, but it's starting to sink in now.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Funeral. But also getting to hang with K and the cherub, so that part's cool. I also wanna see if we can go swimming at night in Bo and Rita's monster above ground pool.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like to go to Sonic some day... When I was stuck staying overnight in Mississippi the other week, the hotel driver offered to take us to get food, since there was none available in the hotel that late, and everyone cracked up when I said I had never been to either Sonic or Chik-Fil-A, so I'd prefer one of them.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Allyson, I love the letter. Well done.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm going to clean a lot this weekend, and try to stop being so angry.

And, I'm going to get an outfit or two for book signings.

I just got word that the copies are in the warehouse, and they'll be shipping next Friday, so it'll be at Barnes and Noble a few days after that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

DJ, I don't think I said in bitches--I'm very sorry for your family's loss.

Woman in the cube next to me wore flip flops to work. I boggle. I won't wear them because I hate how they feel. I like the soles of my footwear to be closer to me at all times.

I just read (the elevator told me) that the age of the set-top cable box is coming to an end, since the FCC is mandating CableCards. Does anyone know the timeline?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Allyson, be sure you spend some of your 11 AM - 8 PM weekend hours in the courtyard right below the manager's windows.

Singing softly....

Singing softly....

Preferably the ultimate earworm song.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thank you, ita.

2 Things

1) To person in our Houston office: Why in the world would you email me to ask me to email you something you know someone in your office has and could email to you. And, ok maybe you just had a brain fart or they were busy or whatever. Why would you then email me back to ask if I can email it to someone else in your office?

I really want to understand this strange place that is your brain.

2) Bush: "I marvel at the fact -- or I used to marvel at the fact that my dad fought the Japanese as a United States Navy fighter pilot, and his son sits down at the table to work to keep the peace. It's an amazing -- to me it's an amazing irony, I guess is the best way to describe that -- that a fellow's father fought him, and I'm working to keep peace."

Ah. That's what "peace" means now. Watch out at the next zebra crossing.
