I was talking about how my trip to see the nephews was also to sort of play nanny until T can start daycare, and my coworker was shocked when I mentioned I'd essentially been a nanny for a while, and had been babysitting since I was a teen. He just couldn't picture me riding heard on a bunch of kids, even though he knows I've wrangled the kids of mutual coworkers.
It was funny and kind of interesting. I wonder what about my work persona is so un-nannyish. Lord knows I can be pushy with him in particular.
