OTOH, i'd probably avoid it by just not inviting them over very often (hell, FIVE KIDS? I'd never invite them over!)
I know enough vegans that I probably could get a decent number of tasty recipes to try if I were throwing a dinner party, but dude, no way in hell could you convince me to kid-proof my apartment so five children could run around in it for hours.

article on Ninjas: [link]
The Israeli affinity for ninjas makes sense when you consider that ninjas are basically supercool Jews. Both practice esoteric traditions that must be kept pure or they'll lose their power, both wear black outfits, and both can destroy much larger and more numerous opponents. The main difference is that while observant Jews spend a lot of time praying, observant ninjas spend a lot of time hiding and killing people.
Bah. I have a cramp or something in my back. Sorta' mid/lower right side area. Are there any stretches or something I can do at work for relief?
Mondo law firm wants professional references who are not former employers or relatives. "Invisible internet friends" count, right? Who wants to be my reference?
References who are not former employers?? Do they mean former coworkers? Vendors? I think invisible internet friends totally should count then.
In other work news, I hate when I email a question saying "I know that in this instance, X and Y, but what about Z?" and people respond saying "In instances like that, make sure of X" and i say "Yes, yes, X, but what about Z?" and then someone else responds "Well, you know in cases like that you have Y" and I'm all "GOT THAT, X and Y are COVERED, but Z????"
Do they mean former coworkers?
I guess. Husband suggested they're looking to avoid the whole issue of employers not really giving references due to liability issues. But my references are kind of thin on the ground anyway. Ack.
Well, it's one thing to say "just contact my former employers" and it's another to say "here is my exboss who agreed to be my reference". Weird.
OK, I just got a response on the XYZ thing...saying "Well, they shouldn't do that thing! Because it causes issues with XYZ!" And I"m like "RIGHT, I know we've said that, my point was, they already did, people already have, and because of that we have a procedure for X and Y, and I've done that, I jsut need to know what the procedure is for Z!!"
(Sorry, this is making me crazy)
Mossad agents who grab Nazi war criminals and spirit them out of another country--I saw a TV movie about the Eichmann case when I was around 12, and have been fascinated by the Mossad ever since.
