No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

I'm sorry, Fred. I know how hard it is.

So sorry Fred. Here's wishing less hospital and sick time for everyone.

In other news, I'm making the first clafoutis of the season. Cherry. Yes, with pits.

I am sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you the other day.

Me too. It was yummy and fun.

Things are going well. I'm all unpacked and started work last week. It is still a bit weird to think I'm out here permanently, but I'm loving my neighborhood and the housemate situation has turned out better than expected. I'm very glad that I know people out here though--that has made the transition a lot easier.

Now, if juliana would only remember my name...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hugs to Fred, Hubs and Teddy. Cats aren't afraid of death the way we are -- they understand pain and feeling ill, but they can't think of death as anything more than going to sleep, you know? It's their humans who feel all the fear and sorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hang in there, Fred. And do be sure to take some time off from being the strong one.
