Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

I knew both song monologues!

super good times.

At points in college I had measurements thrown out in rap songs - it's a special kind of pride. BGB was the best though, because

is what I am. Not so much the banner I wave anymore.

So there is a group picnic/potluck offsite this summer. On a friday. From 12-5. On a workday. When a good portion of the group can't take partial days. Um. crosses that off the schedule. Not that I was planning on attending in the first place

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My office usually closes down for half a day for a staff picnic ... I try to either be on vacation or call in sick those days.

our recent (and only) office outing was after hours when I can't go. they didn't even close early.

have they said that people can't take that day? That seems odd.

I do think that company outings should be on company time though.

Well, sure, you could take 8 hours of vacation and go. But I kinda won't use vacation time for a work-related event.

I think that is crazy that that's their policy. Damn. Way to NOT want people to go.

They don't count it as paid company time? That's whacked.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously.

Newp. We can get away with long going-away lunches, and the occasional workplace-wide somethingversary/event, but no provisions have been made for this. In the past, they always held them on days off.
