Visilurking

Actually there's three Boxed Sets in set profile.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

And DX made one, too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When Jesse said "the system" it sounded like she was looking for something on the server side that prevented users from going over. The only server side option is to suspend you. I mean, maybe you could code something that tracked how many users were logging on and posting and cut excess posters off but it sounds like something that would involve a lot of work. I'm not even sure it would be that effective.

OK, thanks for the info.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've done quick tweaks -- archived threads should no longer show in bookmarks or Set Profile.

Please advise if a) I'm wrong or b) I broke summat else.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Set Profile looks good, but what are you sorting on now? It used to be thread #, which means Boxed Set should be the last on the list, but it's fourth from the end.

Can't say about the bookmarks because I deleted all my blanks by hand the other day.

Hmm. There never was a sort. It just defaulted that way. The change in select must have shifted something. I'll put one in now.

Swouncing

I've only just returned, and already I have problems and requests, naughty me, and it's not even that important, but I thought I'll report what I saw, anyway:

On my screen, when I'm at the Buffista Home page, two (recently) closed threads have the word [closed], the number of posts and the line underneath them appearing like it's still a link (blue instead of the usual black letters and underlined), but it's not a link, just looking like one. It happens on "Due South" and on "The Quotable Firefly". I don't know if it means anything or what's causing it, but I thought I'll just post about it (maybe I just missed posting?). Thanks!

Does anyone else see what Nilly (welcome back, sweetie!) saw? The links are normal on my screen.

If you do, please e-mail me the HTML of the page.

Huh. I just clicked on Read New (on the left side bar), and it brought up the Archives page. Couldn't duplicate it when I tried it again, though. Weird.

hip deep in pie

So is the best practice for the board to unsubscribe from older, yet to be archived threads? Does it help with server loads and the like? For example, I just subscribed to Natter 16 and unsubbed from Natter 15. Was I a good Do-Bee?
