If I only had a brain...
I just got a really weird thing. For about ten minutes, whenever I tried to go to [link] (and all the variations with .com, .net, and no leading [link] I got redirected to this weird spam page that wanted to make [link] (I think) my homepage. I ran Spybot and it found nothing wrong. Eventually the problem vanished.

It took a full 20 seconds of re-reading before I figured out that Angus wasn't talking about "misty pings," like some online form of MST2K or something.

That sounds like possibly a browser issue, but I've had similar things happen. Also a link that is perfect in a post wanting to add a buffistas.org shell around the URL.
Both eventually went away, so I never could troubleshoot.

Just wanted to say, thanks for the threadsuck link to the homepage. The backspacing always drove me crazy.
