It occurs to me that Buffistas spend a shitload of money at Amazon. Can't we get a kickback if we link to them, here?
I have thought about this for awhile. But why stop at Amazon? We could have a separate links page to dozens of stores that offer kickbacks. Buy.com, Staples, Flowers.com, Babyuniverse.com. TiarasnCorsets.com etc. Some Buffistas purchase office supplies for their office, others are buying baby gear, and there's no reason why these merchants can't kick a little back to help keep the Phoenix flying. The we remind people to use the shopping links for purchases, and cha-ching.
We could change the board name to Pepsi Presents Buffistas.org...

I think there's value in just having one, and having it all over. Me, I'd never go to a separate links page.

Ah well. I have Amazon issues. Despite the fact that I have on occasion fallen off the wagon and gone there for various things, the idea of promoting them (or encouraging our people to patronize them) sticks in my craw a little. I know we've had those links there, but moving them up front or spreading them around the board would bother me. Maybe that's just me, though.
I'd take a fork in my neck if it'd help us with the rainy day dedicated server fund.
We can talk about keeping up appearances at PF when the board goes down, you know?
