You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The system put the new forum on wc0. It's here, and I've set up the usual stompies. Right now it's set so that only stompies can get into it. Now if wc1 will just cooperate at some point...

eta: Although with some fiddling, it turns out I could've put it on any of the servers.

Frell!! I was able to get into the old forums, but the system apparently won't let me move the stuff to a different server. I can move threads from one forum to another on wc1, but when I try to move something to the forum on wc0, it tells me it can't find the source thread. Double bother...

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

They are apparently (we asked) afraid of "contamination". Nope, me neither. We'll have to rebuild from scratch.

I suspected it might be something like that. I can see them being terribly gunshy at this point, but it should just be data that's being moved. The whole thing is very weird.

Okay, wc1 is down again, but I managed to download everything except the main spoilers thread and the Canadians thread before it started pining for the fjords. Otherwise, I think we have everything.

eta: And I was able to get the last two later on, so we have copies of everything.

Most are not perfect downloads, however. There's still a flaw in either the script or WX that makes it skip occasional posts at random. If anyone wants to take a look at that problem, please feel free. Of course, you won't be able to test it until wc1 comes back up again.

Okay, as of an hour ago, the transfer was at 95%. I am about to leave for the weekend and will not have computer access.

ita, if there are any emergencies, just call me. I'm emailing you my number.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Received, Kristen.

Hopefully it will go unused.

I think we've lost some posts. It's probably just because of the move, but I know there are at least two, and possibly more missing from bureacracy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Whoops. Logged off, logged back on, had the same unread posts as earlier.

We seem to be a little glitchy yet.

Burrell just posted in here, after I did, saying we lost more posts. But now her post is gone.
