I must live in the wrong place. Because when I saw that, my first thought was, "Virginia." Which is a lot of things, most having nothing to do with hipsters.

I have a friend who just got his MFA from Bard, is a living-on-the-poverty-line unshaved painter, and he and his painter friends are in the process of renovating a loft in Williamsburg. I can't believe I actually know a walking cliché.

I'm having my 15th anniversary with my employer this November 30th, and my current boss was my first boss here--I'm back in the same field, just managing the crap job I did before it got outsourced.
ION, today's dinner was like an early birthday present for me! My favorite dinner in the entire five weeks of dinners was tonight--turkey meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and cabbage (I like to mix the last two together--yummy!!). Between that, tomorrow's birthday lunch of my very favorite salad from the salad bar at work, and then Saturday's dinner out at the tapas restaurant, it's already a very happy birthday weekend (and I'm taking a half-day off tomorrow).
