Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

A series of them, in fact.

E-readers are getting cheaper fast.

The Kindle is now $189, the Nook is $199, and a new Nook WiFi but no 3G is $149.

iTunes update, right? I'll have to load that while I'm at class.

Ok, one last try before I just re-do it...anyone know how to recover a Word file? I was modifying a doc, thought I was closing without saving another document, and accidently closed the one I was modifying without saving.

I tried searching for .tmp files for today's date, and no love. Ideas?

I guess I better try to get rid of mine soon. I got a sony for christmas, but it's been 6 months and I haven't taken it out of the box.

Yeah, Sony is falling behind rapidly. I have a Sony PRS-600, but its big feature for me is the ability to draw notes on it with a stylus so I can mark corrections when going over my book. Not exactly a common thing. If I just wanted to read on it, the Sony readers wouldn't make the list.

I cry tears of....tears at you, Vortex.

I saw the Kindle at Target, and thought it was a cardboard simulacra, it was so thin and wee. LOVE.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Cardboard Simulacras would be a good band name.
