At my first job I encountered resistance, but that was aimed at all the women there, not just in IT. Since I left in 1993, I've been pretty free and clear, at least to my face. Worked with, for, and over a number of women during the whole time.
My big issue with the ticketing sites is that they present you with fare results from a specific search, and then tell you after you click through that they aren't available. What the hell is searching supposed to accomplish?
I bitched at Travelocity because of it--they were sending me low-cost ticket notifications, and presenting me with a range of dates I had to winnow down one by one. After about 10 (look at my near-infinite patience) failed attempts, I had to fire off a bitching email.
Their justification was weak and insufficient.
