I hope the article is inaccurate or your memories are. Someone could die from consuming that much rum.
edit: yeah, there's just no way. 30 oz is 20 drinks. That's twice as far as the chart goes.

heh, a google image search returns more drinks than actual warp cores. Further research reveals it was illegal to sell the drink to one person.
