Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

well, dang. Antico Forno only had reservations open at 5pm or 9pm (for a party of 10).

I hope it's OK, I made reservations instead at Joe Tecce's for 7:30pm.

It should be alright. Certainly they have the space for us. I'm suprised Antico Forno was that booked up on Monday, but ce la vi.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'll be finding out my bookstore schedule for next week tonight, so I can see when/if I'll be available to meet everyone in town!

Yeah, I'm a little bummed. AF's reservations page does mention a week's advance notice on reservations for parties of 8 or more, but I thought that might just apply to the online reservation system policy.

I may need to go check that place out during restaurant week.

Little secret - they are open for lunch on Saturday's. That's one of the times I've eaten there. I think it's mostly the dinner menu (if not THE dinner menu), but the portions are smaller and cheaper (if I remember correctly).

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hey, speaking briefly of Chicago, there's very strong possibility that I will be up there for a couple days after August 10, trying to get my visa sorted out at the British consulate there. If so, I would dearly love to see people.

This is of course assuming that everything will, in fact, work out before my stupid course begins, but I am holding out hope.

The status is NOT quo.

Nora, cousin Kerry is going to be joining us for sure. I'll forward her the link to the new restaurant.
